Brian J. Quirke is Director of Communications for the U.S. Department of Energy in the Midwest.
Quirke oversees the communications efforts of three DOE national laboratories and more than 2,000 researchers at every major American university…where taxpayers invest more than $4 billion annually to improve Americans’ health, socialize new energy sources, recharge the economy and answer the grand science challenges facing our society.
Serving the past six Presidents, he has worked with scientists and educators and reporters and elected officials to enhance understanding of DOE/U.S. energy policy. Earlier Quirke worked for a large oil company and a small daily newspaper in Indiana.
