Christophe Bechu

Born in 1974, Christophe Béchu was elected alderman of Avrillé at the age of 21 before becoming deputy mayor. In 2004, at just 29 years-old, he became president of the General Council of Maine-et-Loire, and even the youngest elected representative to hold this function in France. He left the presidency of the Department in April 2014 a few days after having been elected mayor of Angers. Married with three children, Christophe Béchu is also Senator of Maine-et-Loire since 2011.
