Janette Monear

Janette’s efforts to plant trees and maintain forests around North Texas have earned her the unofficial title of “Pioneer in Urban Forestry.” As President and CEO of the Texas Trees Foundation, her various initiatives, including a 16-county regional proposal to plant 3 million trees in ten years, have been met with overwhelming support from the public and city leaders. Her reports, models, and educational programs have transformed the way Texans approach urban forest conservation.
