Serving as Senior Vice President of Hillwood Properties, Russell Laughlin oversees the management, operation, land and infrastructure planning, and entitlements of AllianceTexas, an 18,000-acre mixed-use, master-planned community. He has been instrumental in the development of AllianceTexas and the North Fort Worth and Tarrant County areas in leading long-term regional planning initiatives.
Laughlin has 33 years of land and real estate development experience and is a recipient of the prestigious TXDOT Road Hand award. With over 27 years tenure with Hillwood including his initial position as Director of Hillwood’s National Transportation Authority, Laughlin’s primary responsibilities have focused on privatized road development projects. Among other affiliations, Laughlin is president of the 35W Coalition, President of the Northern Trinity Groundwater Conservation District Board, on the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition Executive Committee and is Secretary of the Region C Water Planning Board.
Texas native, Laughlin holds a BS in Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University, an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and later completed the Advanced Management Development Program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
