Sandy Carter

Sandy Carter received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science in 2013 from the University of Chicago. As a community organizer, she worked on the successful environmental justice campaign to close the two remaining coal plants in Chicago. She has interned for the White House Council on Environmental Quality and has enjoyed working on community driven campaigns relating to energy and climate change. She currently coordinates a volunteer engagement program at the Alliance for the Great Lakes, a non-profit dedicated to protecting the Great Lakes as a living resource for generations to come.
